It’s official: BabyCenter parents continue to rank Olivia and Noah as the most popular girl and boy names.

With a few notable exceptions, nearly all of the top 10 names from 2023 are still in the top ten in 2024. Evelyn drops to No. 11 as Ellie makes her first appearance in the top 10 girl names at No. 9. After a year away, Asher returns to the top 10 male names at number nine, while Luca drops to number twelve.
The top seven boy names are precisely the same as they were the previous year, therefore there aren’t many more changes in the top 10. (Nathan, Liam, Oliver, Elijah, Mateo, Lucas, and Levi are in that order.) Leo dropped two spots to No. 10, Asher jumped two spots to No. 9, and Ezra jumped one spot to No. 8 in the bottom three, which is the only change.
There was some fluctuation, but not much, in the top ten girl names. Emma and Amelia moved places, with Emma currently at number three and Amelia at number two. Isabella (No. 6) and Ava (No. 7) switched places, while Sophia and Charlotte are identical at Nos. 4 and 5. No. 8 is where Mia stays stable. Ellie, who went from No. 15 to No. 9, had the largest leap. Finally, Luna dropped to No. 10 by one position.
Some of the names on the list made BabyCenter history by making it to the top 100 for the first time: Ember (No. 90) and Oakley (No. 96) for girls, and Walker (No. 79), Bennett (No. 84), and Adriel (No. 100) for boys.
Longtime favorites Kayden (No. 101), Dominic (No. 113), and Aaron (No. 120) are no longer in the top 100 names for boys, while Eva (No. 105) and Jasmine (No. 122) are no longer in the top 100 names for girls.
