A moose stuck in a backyard swimming pool is an unusual call that has prompted police and firefighters in the eastern United States to react.
When rescuers arrived at the Bedford, New Hampshire, residence at approximately 8.45 am, they removed a pool cover to see the adult moose standing in the water, according to a police video.
The moose walked out of the shallow end of the pool and into the wooded area next to the house as the cover was taken off.
Katis remarked, “She was actually laughing.”
“You wouldn’t believe it, Sandy,” she added. This is an exciting place to be. She added, “They took care of it.”
Although things could have been much different, Bedford Police Chief Daniel Douidi reported that neither humans nor animals were hurt.
“We appreciate that residents called us this morning to assist with this situation, and I want to remind residents that moose can be very dangerous animals due to their size,” he said.
Approximately 23,000 people live in Bedford, a town north of Boston. The estimated number of moose in New Hampshire is between 3,000 and 4,000, although they are mostly found in the northern part of the state, thus seeing one in the southern part is uncommon.A moose stuck in a backyard swimming pool is an unusual call that has prompted police and firefighters in the eastern United States to react.
