Through its philanthropic knitting endeavors, the Milton Methodist Knit and Natter group in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, is changing the world.
Under the direction of Muriel Watt, the group supports elderly patients in nearby hospitals and makes blankets for villages in Romania, Ukraine, and the Gambia.
They knit beanie caps and gather warm clothes and waterproofs for the seafarers at Avonmouth port as part of their charitable endeavors.
Additionally, the organization welcomes donations of blankets and men’s clothing for local hospice distribution.
Watt says, “Every stitch we make carries a message of hope,” and his organization is still accepting donations to help fund their important community work.
