A Scottish couple who had lost their cat were “shocked” to find it 300 miles away in Coventry.

Beans, a ginger and white cat, disappeared late last month after leaving its home in Cumbernauld, near Glasgow.

Tragic revelations emerge regarding Liam Payne’s dying moments in a court filing.

Its owners, Cara and Colin McBurnie, explored the surrounding region but discovered no trace of Beans, prompting them to dread the worst.

Ms. McBurnie stated that Beans “went out as usual because he enjoys going for a walk,” but that it “always returns home for some food, usually after a few hours.”

“We searched and searched, everywhere,” the 40-year-old explained. “I’ve been out looking every day, but I assumed something had happened to him.

“I didn’t really expect to see him again but joined lots of local lost and found Facebook pages, then further afield in Scotland.”

Weeks later, the McBurnies received a call from the charity Cats Protection, which informed them that Beans had been located safe in Coventry, hundreds of miles away, owing to its microchip.

Beans, the cat, turned up 300 miles away in Coventry.
Kelly Ryan, who discovered the missing cat, stated that she noticed Beans “hanging around” her outdoor litter box.

She stated, “I didn’t feed him right away since I assumed he was probably owned, but one night I noticed him sleeping in the kitty box, and he was still there the next day and the day after that.

“I just gave him a few biscuits to start with but heard he was going to visit other neighbours too, and it felt like he was around too much and that something wasn’t quite right.”

Ms. Ryan wrote about the missing cat online, and Cats Protection contacted Ms. McBurnie.

Tap The following day, Beans was reunited with its owners. It’s still unclear how the cat managed to travel so far.

Ms. McBurnie recalled: “I was shocked out of [my] mind that he was still alive and how he travelled over 300 miles.”

She continued, “I’m so glad we had him microchipped and updated his record. There’s no way he would have returned to us otherwise.”
